Combuster: Live Performance Trigger Environment in Max/MSP Combuster (renamed from KamoniVision) is well underway. I have completed the lowest (zone) level with a fully functional trigger sampler that can be x-faded with a 3 osc synth. Includes pitch envelope, filter envelope, equal power x-fading between the synth and sampler, one LFO per zone.
Zones will be grouped into a Stack, so the I can layer multiple zones into a single sound. Each stack has a behavior or articulation that can be triggered during a realtime performance (buzz rolls, sample offseting, timestretching).
The next level up from Stacks is the full Kit which will allow for Round-Robin triggering or intermodulation via an LFO. Multiple Kits can then be arranged into a full “Palette”. Palettes can be called by an “event trigger” by the performer - simply a physical trigger or an accelerando.
